30.07.09 - Summer seminar in Croatia. The annual summer seminar in Croatia had record attendence, with over 40 participants from 5 Little Idea clubs. Expect new pictures and video clips to be posted here soon.
25.06.09 - Summer training. The school gym is closed for the summer, but anyone interested is welcome to come to summer training. We meet outside the school (there is a roof there in case of rain) between 19:00 - 21:00 Mondays and Wednsdays.
18.05.09 - Summer end of term dinner. We'll be spending Monday the 1st of June at Naree Thai Restaurant (across from the Petroleum Museum) to mark the end of the spring term. Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of whether you've been active at training or not. We have a table reserved for 18.00 - 20.00.
27.04.09 - Summer seminar dates set! The dates for the annual Summer Seminar in Crikvenica, Croatia have been set: 27th - 31st July
23.03.09 - Easter break. School is closed for Easter break (6th - 14th April), but anyone interested in training can meet outside the school on Mondays/Wednsdays from 19.00 - 21.00. Training resumes on Wednsday the 15th of April.
09.12.08 - Winter break. The last training in Stavanger will be on Wednsday the 10th at 20.00 - 22.00. 'Julebordet', open to all members will be at 19:00 at Naree Thai restaurant, across the street from the Oil Museum. Training resumes after the holidays on Monday the 5th of January.
08.12.08 - Seminar summed up. Master Barac and Si Hing Podvinski led the Stavanger group through the essential cornerstones of the first two forms, with focus on proper body position/stance, elasticity as exemplified in the punch and power generation through stepping. We also touched on yielding and borroVing power while maintaining the important details of balance, timing and angles.
12.10.08 - Weekend Kung-fu Seminar. Master Barac and senior student Damir Podvinski will be coming to Stavanger the first weekend of December (6th - 7th) to hold a seminar. Place: Kampen School gymnasium. Time: 10:00 - 15:00. Fees will be stated in the invitation e-mail sent to all club members.
30.08.08 - Instructor seminar Stavanger. The weekend of the 30th, Thor Legvold held an instructors seminar for all those in Norway who are responsible for teaching students. We covered the instructors program covering the first form, including drills, applying techniques in self defense and chi sao.
12.08.08 - Summer seminar 2008. We continued with our exploration of the Ving Tsun system and focused on proper structure, developing and transforming our bodies, elasticity and elastic power, among other things. Included in this years seminar were exercises from all 3 forms, with focus on principles and applications. Also covered was working in grappling range and transitioning from trapping range to grappling range. We had a great turnout and everyone worked really hard. Video clips will be posted soon, anyone with good pictures or footage is asked to submit these for inclusion here.
22.01.08 - New beginners group starting in Stavanger. Monday the 4th of February at 6 PM marks the start of a new beginners group for the Stavanger club. Everyone is welcome to come and try out Kung-fu for a week. For free!
21.01.08 - Crikvenica Summer Seminar dates set. Summer seminar 2008 (Crikvenica, Croatia) will be held from Monday the 28th of July to Friday the 2nd of August. 07.08.07 - New beginner group starting in Stavanger. Monday the 10th of September at 6 PM marks the start of a new beginners group for the Stavanger club. If you've always wondered if Kung-fu might be for you, come and give it a try. The first week is free!

29.07.07 - Crikvenica seminar 2007. This years seminar focused on flexibility (especially of the waist) and twisting power. We also worked on our understanding of Chi Sao and it's role in practice. If you have any good shots from the seminar, please submit them to the webmaster for publication.
30.05.07 - Crikvenica Summer Seminar dates set. The annual summer Ving Tsun seminar in Crikvenica Croatia for 2007 will be held from Monday the 23rd of July to Friday the 27th of July. 29.08.06 - Fall semester starts soon: A new beginners group starts on Monday the 11th of September at 18:00, Nylund School gymnasium. Nylund is located in "Storhaug" in Stavanger. Advanced/existing students start practice one week earlier (4.9, 18:00).
Training times in Stavanger fall 2006 will be: Mondays 18:00 - 20:00 and Wednesdays 20:30 - 22:00.
31.07 - 04.08 - Summer seminar, Crikvenica Croatia: This years seminar was held in the new sports hall in Crikvenica as have the last few seminars. Crikvenica is a small coastal village that comes alive during the summer months and fills with tourists from both Croatia and abroad. The main theme of this years seminar was 'flow', learning to create the flow in chi sao and other movements, as well as joining an opponents force and finding solutions to attacks through non-resistance. Attendance was down a bit this year as compared to previous years, perhaps due to the new dates (August), which is when most Croatians take their summer holidays.

12.06.06 - Summer break dinner: everyone is invited to our summer holiday dinner at Naree Thai (across the street from the Oil Museum in Stavanger) on Monday the 12th of June at 19:00.
31.05.06 - Last training before summer holiday: Wednsday the 31st is our last official training for the spring session. For those interested, practice will continue outdoors at the same place (Nylund school) from 19:00 to 21:00 on Mondays and Wednsdays. Summer practice is free and is informal. The autumn session will start at the end of August or beginning of September, check back for the exact dates and times.
27.03.06 - Stavanger seminar: Zoran and Igor will hold a seminar for students in Norway Saturday and Sunday the 29th & 30th of April. Everyone is welcome to attend for a weekend of intensive practice. Place: Kampen school, time: 10:00 - 15:00 Saturday & Sunday, price: kr.400,-/day.

24.10.05 - Yi Quan seminar: Timo Heikkilä has offered to hold a seminar on Yi Quan in Stavanger if enough people are interested (approx 10 needed). Timo lived in China for over six years and studied under Han Jingyu. Get in touch for more info.
10.08.05 - Fall semester starting soon: A new group of Kung fu students will start this fall. We will have a demonstration on Monday the 5th of September, Nylund school at 18:00. New students are welcome to join us and try out a few sessions for free.
05.08.05 - Summer seminar Croatia: The summer seminar was a success, with participants from both Norwegian clubs as well as the main club in Zagreb. Pictures and video will be uploaded soon!
29.07.05 - New training venue in Stavanger: The county has changed our place (and time) of training. From this fall we'll be at Nylund school. See the link under "Where" for more info.
06.06.05 - Summer training times: The school gym where we practice in Stavanger is closed for the summer, effective this week. Training will continue throughout the summer holidays outside, at the same times and days as usual.
02.06.05 - Spring seminar Stavanger: The seminar was a great success with many participants. We learned a structured method of generating explosive power ('fa li') from YiQuan, and learned many new uses for Ving Tsun positions, focusing especially on 'Chin na' (holding/locking) applications. Zoran and Damir were very open with their knowledge and experience, ensuring that each student learned as much as possible. Pictures and video clips are expected up on the website soon....
11.05.05 - Summer seminar: The seminar will be held during the first week of August (1st - 5th), in Crikvenica Croatia.
15.04.05 - Summer Seminar Croatia: Planning has begun for the annual summer seminar in Croatia. The annual summer seminar is a great way to combine a holiday with kung-fu. Crikvenica is a nice little seaside town on the Adriatic sea. Sifu Zoran Barac will help us to deepen our understanding of
Ving Tsun, YiQuan and Taiji Quan during the week of training. Normally we'll spend between 5-7 hours a day practicing, with ample time for socializing, sightseeing and relaxing on the beach in the afternoon and evening. The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxed, and everyone has a great time learning and helping each other learn and practice better.

15.03.05 - Spring Seminar 2005: Sifu Zoran Barac and one of his top students (Damir) will hold a seminar here in Stavanger. The seminar will be held on the 21st - 22nd of May, in the Gymnasium of Kampen School. Training will commence promptly at 10:00 in the morning and end at 15:00 in the afternoon on both days. Bring a lunch! We plan to go out and eat on Saturday night with Sifu. The price for the seminar (both days) is kr. 700,-.
11.02.05 - Trondheim Seminar: Thor Legvold will hold a weekend seminar in Trondheim the 12th adn 13th of March at the student sports centre.

08.12.04 - Christmas vacation: We take a short break from training for Christmas and New Year holidays. Training starts up again in 2005 on Wednsday the 5th of January at 20:00, St. Svithun school.
15.11.04 - New club: Its official! The Trondheim group under Faik Bilalović has been formally accepted as a member under the Stavanger club and part of the Little Idea family.
Fall seminar 2004: Sifu Zoran Barac brought along two of his top students (Hrvoje & Damir) and held a weekend seminar in Stavanger that was both exciting and very educational. The seminar was a huge success, with a large attendance from all three of the groups operating in Norway - Stavanger, Haugesund and Trondheim. Everyone had a great time, worked very hard and learned a lot. Pictures from the seminar will be up on the website soon, so check in regularly.
Sandnes club: After a 6 month trial period, we have decided to concentrate on developing the club in Stavanger rather than continue with the Sandnes club. If there's enough interest, we might reconsider a group in Sandnes, for now all interested parties are encouraged to visit and practice with us in Stavanger.
Trondheim Seminar: Thor Legvold held a weekend seminar on Ving Tsun in Trondheim the 25th and 26th of September at ISAK senter.
